The Honor and Remember Flag's design is distinctive, yet simple. Each detail on the flag symbolizes an important part of the overall meaning of the flags message.
Малиновий колір присутній на прапорі Збройних Сил України. Він символізує відважних чоловіків та жінок української армії, які віддали своє життя за свободу.
(The Magenta Field is the color used in the armed forces flag, representing brave men and women in Ukrainian's military throughout history, who willingly gave their lives so that all would remain free.)
Біле поле внизу символізує чистоту цієї жертви. Немає дорожчої ціни, яку українці можуть заплатити, аніж віддати життя за країну.

Пшениця символізує працьовитість та єдність народу. Колоски означають родючість, вічність Української землі.
(Wheat - symbol of one of the greatest strengths of the people - agriculture. It reflects their hard work and unity. Wheat spikelets symbolize fertility and eternity of Ukrainian land.)
Козацький Хрест це військова повага та шана. Протягом століть хрест використовується в церемоніях поховань загиблих воїнів.
(Cossack Cross - symbol of military respect and reverence. Cross has been used for the burial places of the soldiers who died defending for centuries.)
Вогонь є вічним нагадуванням духу, який відійшов в інше життя, але горітиме в пам’яті всіх, хто знав та любив загиблого героя.
The Candle is an eternal reminder of the spirit that has departed this life yet burns on in the memory of all who knew and loved the fallen hero. It is a national symbol of mourning.
